Welcome to NLP Kids – Be a happier parent with NLP

You may have heard of NLP (Neuro Linguistic Programming) through work because it has been used a lot in the workplace. I prefer to work with families.

I do this is because my background in teaching and parenting, counselling and running focus groups with children means that I find it very easy to see how NLP can make a difference.

As parents we make decisions every minute of every day and mostly things work out well and we feel blessed with our children. Other times though things don’t go so well and no matter what we do, we feel guilty or we feel we’ve failed as parents.

Imagine you believed that these feelings of failure were instead feedback that we can learn from? You will learn in my workshops how to use the feedback to do things differently to get the result you want. If you always do what you’ve always done, you will always get what you’ve always got.

I am an NLP Master Practitioner and former teacher as well as a mother of four children aged 9yrs – 22yrs. I trained with Sue Knight, author and NLP trainer.

I am the author of ‘Teach Yourself: Be a happier parent with NLP’ which is available on Amazon. I have also written a number of helpful NLP workbooks which are available on the NLP Books page.

I have just had three sessions of NLP with Judy. It was a wonderful experience, which put me back in touch with myself, and to become aware again of my own potential.

Parents -

  • Does your child lack confidence and self-esteem?

  • Do you find yourself saying the same thing over and over again and getting nowhere?

  • Are you struggling with your child’s behavioural issues?

  • Do you and your partner fight over the right way to bring up your children?

My name is Judy Bartkowiak and I can help you. I have four children myself and have spent my entire working life working with children and parents. Nowadays I am a writer and NLP coach for family issues.

When can I start using NLP?

I’m often asked when you can start using NLP for children as a parent. The answer to that is during pregnancy because your baby will pick up on your state or mood and the calmer and happier you are, the easier pregnancy and birth you will have and the more bonded you will be with your new baby.

NLP during Pregnancy

It is during pregnancy that you and your partner will be discussing what sort of parents you will be and who will do what, whether you want to go back to work, who will be the main carer and so on.

Couples sometimes find these conversations bring to the surface different beliefs and values that need to be addressed.

NLP for Toddlers

Toddlers can be exhausting and bring out the best and worst in us.

Learn how to transfer the skills you have from your pre- children life to your life as a mum of a toddler. You have the skills you need, you just need some help accessing them.

NLP for Children

Children can be fascinating and demanding and you are their role model. They are learning from you everyday how to behave, what to believe about their world, how to get on with people, how to learn and how to deal with conflict.

This is a huge responsibility and sometimes we need a helping hand in knowing how to be the role model we want to be for them.

NLP for Teenagers

Teenagers need to express themselves and break away from the security of the home, experiment with different ways of being and they need to find their own way in life.

This can be pretty scary for parents and sometimes they need to talk to someone outside the home and family.

NLP for Students

Students today are under an enormous stress to decide what they want to do, whether they want to study, take a gap year or go straight into paid work.

It is a challenging time when they need to examine their identity, skills, discover their purpose in life. You will be helping them but sometimes they need to talk to someone who will ask the questions that will make the difference.

NLP for Teachers, Carers and Parents

I teach parents, teachers and carers how to use NLP at work and at home and how to introduce it to the children in their care. This is done through one to ones and workshops.

If you want to organize a workshop at your school, contact me via my Contact page.

  • Teachers
  • Carers

I do this is because my background in teaching and parenting, counselling and running focus groups with children means that I find it very easy to see how NLP can make a difference.

Clients come to me saying things like,

“My daughter’s really nervous about starting her new secondary school, she doesn’t think she’ll make any friends.”

“My son’s nervous about taking his 11+ and thinks he’ll fail.”

“Why do I keep dating the wrong sort of guy? They always end up treating me so badly. What’s wrong with me?”

“I can’t do anything with my toddler, he gets so angry and then he shouts and hits me. He’s fine with his Dad.”

“My husband talks to me as if I’m a child. I dread him coming home at night. I’m getting IBS.”
